"With heavy hearts yet grateful souls, we, the grandchildren of Madam Rebecca Naa Komeley Okine, celebrate the life of a loving and remarkable woman we fondly called Grandma. She was more than just a grandmother-she was our second mother, best friend, and greatest supporter. Grandma showered us with unconditional love, care, and wisdom. She made each of us feel special, always ready to listen, guide, and encourage us. Sunday mornings were particularly meaningful, as she ensured we attended church together, prayed, and served God faithfully. Her love extended beyond family, earning her the title of "Grandma" even among neighbors and church members. She was kind, generous, and always willing to help others. Her presence brought joy, and she made every moment with her memorable and comforting. We will deeply miss her laughter, prayers, warm hugs, and the love she showered on us. Though her absence leaves a void in our hearts, we take solace in knowing that she now rests peacefully in the Lord's embrace. Rest well, Grandma. Your love and teachings will forever guide us. We love you and will miss you dearly.  yaw) Ojogbann!"

"In reverent homage, the Abafum Council of Elders pays tribute to Benjamin Ankamah, affectionately known as “Tooyitso,” a distinguished member of our esteemed council and the devoted Chief's assistant to the late Nii Oten Granaky I (Abafum Mantse) of blessed memory. Tooyitso, having served as an integral part of the traditional structure of the Abafum Quarter for over a decade, discharged his duties with unwavering dedication. His presence graced numerous public functions alongside the late Nii Oten, showcasing a profound commitment to the values and traditions of our community. Endowed with deep contemplation, Tooyitso's significant contributions to matters concerning the quarter earned him the distinction of being chosen as one of two representatives for the Quarter on the sub-committee of the La Traditional Council's land committee, overseeing lands within the Labone and Cantonments enclave. Even in the face of ill health, Tooyitso continued to provide invaluable guidance to the council during routine visits to his residence. This steadfast commitment underscored his profound love for the quarter, demonstrating an unwavering dedication that extended beyond the bounds of his physical well-being. The passing of Tooyitso has left an irreplaceable void within the council, one that echoes with the loss of his wisdom, leadership, and unwavering commitment to the Abafum community. Tooyitso, today, as we bid you farewell, the people of Abafum, the Traditional set-up, and the council of elders join together to say... May the road rise to meet you. May the wind be always at your back. May the sunshine warm upon your face. May the rains fall upon your fields. And until we meet again, May God hold you in the hollow of His hand. Yaawɔ jogbaɳɳ yɛ nuntsɔ lɛ kpɔkɔian! Amen!!!"

""Even though I walk through the darkest valley, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me." - Psalm 23:4 We lovingly called him Bra Ben, and in every sense, he was the pillar of our family. His departure has left an irreplaceable void, but we cherish the memories of a brother who cared for us like no other. Benjamin Nii Kwao Ankamah was more than just a sibling; he was a guiding force, a loving father figure, and a selfless soul who touched our lives with profound warmth. Bra Ben's legacy in our family is deeply rooted in his unwavering love and care for his children, whom he treated as his own. ""I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith." (2 Timothy 4:7) In a moment of shock, on a day that seemed surreal, Nii Boifio We mourns the loss of an illustrious son, Benjamin Nii Kwao Ankamah. The fall of this great tree has cast a shadow of grief over our community, and the entire membership receives this news with deep sorrow and heavy hearts. Benjamin Nii Kwao Ankamah, affectionately known as Oo Ben, served as the appointed spokesperson for the house in the year 1998. His dedication and wisdom were evident as he tirelessly contributed to the progress of our community. Oo Ben was a regular presence at family meetings, always punctual and unapologetically straightforward in expressing his views and thoughts. He played a pivotal role in resolving numerous family issues, providing leadership and guidance to family members. Additionally, he led many delegations representing Nii Boifio We at various events beyond the borders of La. In his role as spokesperson, Oo Ben spoke on behalf of Nii Boifio We, ensuring our voice was heard and respected. Later in life, in the year 2014, he relinquished the position of spokesperson when he was enstooled as "TOO-YITSO" for the then Abafum Mantse, Nii Oten Granaky I. His utterances and wise counsel had a remarkable ability to cool down heated tempers, earning him respect and honor wherever he went. The impact he left behind is indelible, and his memory will forever be etched in our hearts. To the bereaved family of Oo Ben, we, the entire elders and members of Nii Boifio We, express our heartfelt condolences. We recognize the pain of losing such a significant figure, and our thoughts and prayers are with you during this difficult time. Oo Ben, Dada Ben, may you embark on a safe journey to the realm beyond. Rest In Perfect Peace! Your legacy lives on in the annals of Nii Boifio We, and the impact you made will continue to resonate through the generations."

"As I tenderly reflect on the life of my late husband, Benjamin Nii Kwao Ankamah, affectionately known as Bro Ben or OBen, my heart overflows with gratitude for the exquisite journey we shared. Our paths first intertwined after a church program, and from that serendipitous moment, he revealed himself to be a true gentleman, radiating kindness and warmth. OBen transcended the role of a wonderful husband; he was a steadfast pillar of support in every aspect of our lives. His love knew no bounds, extending not only to our children but also to our grandchildren, whom he guided and supported in every endeavor. He fostered a bond that mirrored that of a father and daughter, and a brother and sister, creating a love that transcended generations. Our understanding of each other ran deep, fostering a harmonious and loving relationship where forgiveness flowed effortlessly, and conflicts were rare. His love was not confined to our immediate family; Ben embraced everyone, extending his kindness to all our neighbors and forging lasting connections. His passing has left an immeasurable void in my heart, and grappling with the reality that he is no longer with us remains a challenging endeavor. He was the cornerstone of our family, and his absence is profoundly felt. Beyond the walls of our home, Ben's impact rippled through our community. As the enstooled linguist of Nii Biofio We and later ascending to the esteemed position of 'TOO-YITSO' for the Abafum Mantse, he brought respect and honor to our family. His life epitomized dignity and became a source of pride for us all. When illness cast its shadow upon him in October 2023, the bond between us deepened. I stood unwaveringly by his side in the hospital, never leaving him alone, until the late hours of November 3rd, 2023, when he transitioned peacefully. It remains surreal to accept that my OBEN, as I affectionately called him, is no longer physically present. A great pillar has fallen, and his memory will forever echo in my heart until we reunite in the heavenly realms. I extend my heartfelt gratitude to my siblings and everyone who supported us during his illness. Your presence, love, and care provided solace during a challenging time. Ben deeply appreciated the love and kindness extended by all who visited him in the hospital. His love encompassed not only our immediate family but also everyone around him, gathering all without neglect. Yaawo Ojobang, my husband, my brother, my comforter, your absence creates an indescribable void. Thank you for the joy, love, and precious memories you bestowed upon us. May your soul find eternal peace until our spirits reunite in the embrace of heaven. With enduring love, Mrs. Rose Ankamah"

""The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit." (Psalm 34:18) In the tender embrace of this tribute, we, the children of our beloved Dad, whom we affectionately called Pady, seek to immortalize the profound impact he had on our lives and the lives of those fortunate enough to cross paths with him. Although his physical presence may have departed, the essence of his spirit resonates within us, a guiding force cheering us on through the intricate tapestry of life. Coming to terms with the reality that his company is no longer a door-knock away, and his voice no longer just a phone call away, has been an arduous journey. Yet, amidst the somber echoes of his absence, we find solace in the rich tapestry of moments and memories that he graciously shared with us. These fragments of time, suspended in the realms of our collective recollections, serve as a resilient anchor, helping us navigate the vast ocean of grief. Dad, you were more than a patriarch; you were a pillar of unwavering strength and kindness. Your indomitable spirit was a guiding light, illuminating the path of righteousness and benevolence. The kindness you bestowed upon others and the genuine care that radiated from your being left an indelible mark, making you not only a dad to us but a fatherly figure to many. Your kind heart had the power to touch and transform lives, leaving an enduring legacy of positive change. In the face of challenges, you stood firm, embodying resilience and determination. Your life became a testament to perseverance, and your unwavering resolve in the pursuit of your goals served as a beacon of inspiration. Even in the midst of our own trials, you provided a steady hand, imparting wisdom that transcends the boundaries of time and circumstance. All that you poured into us, your children, now blossoms as the fruits of your labor. The values you instilled, the lessons you taught, and the love you showered upon us have not been in vain. As we stand on the foundation you laid, we strive to uphold the qualities that made you the exceptional presence we deeply and profoundly miss. Each step we take is a testament to the enduring legacy you left behind, a legacy rooted in love, compassion, and an unwavering commitment to family. Dad, Pady, your physical departure from this realm marks the beginning of your eternal rest, and we take solace in knowing that you now rest in perfect peace. As we navigate the uncharted territories of life without your comforting presence, we find strength in the memories we shared and the invaluable lessons you imparted. The tapestry of your life, interwoven with threads of love and wisdom, continues to unfold in the stories we tell, the values we uphold, and the impact we strive to make in the world. Your departure is not an end but a transformation—an evolution of your spirit into the eternal realms, where you become a guardian angel, watching over us with the same love and warmth you showered upon us in your earthly existence. Dad, Pady, your legacy lives on in our hearts, and as we bid you farewell in this earthly realm, we carry the torch of your memory forward, illuminating the path for generations to come. Rest in perfect peace, dear Dad, for you are not gone but are now a part of the celestial tapestry, weaving the fabric of eternity with the threads of love, laughter, and cherished moments. With profound love and eternal gratitude, DAD, REST IN PERFECT PEACE"

"Grandpa, you meant the whole world to us, even though to the world, you were just one person. Despite not having much, you made us feel like we had everything. Sadly, Grandpa, as we affectionately called you, is no longer with us. At least, your pain and suffering have come to an end. Grandpa was always a very happy person, full of life, and sometimes strict. You had a cheerful smile that brightened our days, and you were always willing to share whatever you had. We miss the joy and warmth you brought to our lives. We wish you could have lived longer to enjoy the fruits of your labor, but we believe that the Almighty God, who cares for us, has better plans for you. You always praised us when we did something good and gently pointed out our mistakes when we went astray. Your words and guidance still resonate in our hearts every day. Thinking about you, Grandpa, brings both joy and sorrow. We were shocked and crushed when you fell so ill. In just a matter of days, the smile on your face disappeared, replaced by dejection. The cruel hands of death snatched you away from us, and the void left behind is palpable. We miss you every day, and the ache within our hearts persists because we won't see you again. Your life was not easy, Grandpa, and you endured so much for us. We know you are in a better place now, and the love and sacrifices you made will forever be cherished in our hearts. We love you dearly, Grandpa! Although we may be separated for now, we hold onto the hope that one day, we will meet again in heaven. Rest in perfect peace, dear Grandpa."
